1. Data controller
The controller of your data is OMAE SIGNATURE LTD, a company incorporated in Mauritius operating the OMAE brand, Unit 18, Building B, Domaine de Labourdonnais, Quartier des Serres, Mapou 31803, Mauritius - BRN C25219151 - info@omae.mu - +230 5250 9754 - Director: Chloé Vogelweid-Beretti. This policy complies with the Mauritius Data Protection Act 2017 and, for people located in the European Union, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
2. Data collected
Identity and contact details (name, e-mail, phone, delivery and billing addresses), order and customer account data, exchanges with customer service, browsing data (IP address, cookies) and, with your consent, your marketing preferences. Card details are entered on the secure MIPS / MCB payment page; OMAE never has access to them.
3. Purposes and legal bases
- Processing, paying, delivering and following up orders, handling returns and guarantees: performance of the contract.
- Keeping accounts and meeting legal obligations: legal obligation.
- Preventing fraud and securing payments and the Website: legitimate interest.
- Improving the Website and measuring its audience: consent (cookies) or legitimate interest for strictly necessary cookies.
- Sending the newsletter, offers and targeted advertising: consent, which can be withdrawn at any time (unsubscribe link in every e-mail).
4. Recipients
Your data is shared only with the providers we need: Shopify (Website and store hosting), MIPS and MCB (payment), carriers (delivery), our agency and marketing tools only with your consent (for example Meta, Google), and our accountants where required by law. We never sell or rent your data.
5. International transfers
OMAE is established in Mauritius and some providers are located outside your country (for example Shopify in Canada). These transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards (adequacy decision, standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms).
6. Retention periods
- Order data and invoices: for the duration of the relationship, then for the legal retention period for accounting records (in principle 7 years).
- Marketing data: 3 years after the last contact.
- Cookies: 13 months maximum; your consent choice is kept for 6 months.
7. Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and the right to withdraw your consent at any time. Write to info@omae.mu; we reply within one month. You may also lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Office of Mauritius or the data protection authority of your country (for example the CNIL in France).
8. Cookies
Strictly necessary cookies (basket, payment, security, language and currency choice) are set without consent. Audience measurement and advertising cookies are set only after your consent, through the cookie banner shown on your first visit; you can accept, refuse or customise your choices and change them at any time via the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of the page.
9. Security and minors
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures (SSL encryption, 3D Secure payment, restricted access). The Website is not intended for children under 16, whose data we do not knowingly collect.
10. Changes
This policy may be updated; the version in force is the one published on the Website, with its update date.
